Lee Duffy believes that the return of a number of players can only make S&L stronger.
The Foundrymen have won their last three games and have collected 21 points from a possible 27, the last three of which came in a 4-1 defeat of Desborough on Boxing Day.
That result was achieved without the prolific frontman Michael Byrne but he returns for tomorrow’s game along with Michael Keall and Aiden Ashton.
And all this, according to Duffy, contributes to a healthy state of affairs at Occupation Road.
He said: “It’s going well at the minute and we’re gradually getting more players available.
“There are three more due to return next week and that will give us virtually a full squad to choose from.
“We’re spoilt for choice and we’re playing well which is good to see.”
And Duffy feels that the twin factors of youth and options up front are making the side a more formidable proposition.
He continued: “It’s a lot easier to introduce young players into a side who are doing well and we’ve been able to do that.
“They turned the game for us on Boxing Day in the final 20 minutes.
“Craig Lawman’s movement was superb against Desborough and he gives us more pace up front.
“When he plays alongside Michael (Byrne) then we’ll have even more pace.
“We always want to have three up front to choose from and now we’ve got Craig, Michael and Shaun (Goodall).
“It gives us options which is what you need to have.”
