AFC Rushden & Diamonds moved five points clear at the top of the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division thanks to a 3-0 win over Eynesbury Rovers at the Dog & Duck.

Tom Lorraine opened the scoring after 10 minutes after he latched on to Adam Confue’s pass and the same player doubled the advantage before the break when he fired into the roof of the net.

Andy Peaks’ men rounded off an impressive home success with five minutes to go when Elliott Lamb-Johnson’s cross eluded everyone and found the far corner.

In Division One, Irchester United slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Olney Town.

Both goals came in the second half as Jason Goldman broke the deadlock before Sam O’Neill confirmed the home side’s success after 77 minutes.
