Wellingborough Town suffered a 3-0 home loss to Harborough Town in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.

A low-key first half came to life on 41 minutes when Barnes Gladman put the visitors in front.

Gladman doubled his and his team’s tally early in the second period and the Bees’ success was confirmed by Dino Tuksar late on.

Rothwell Corinthians’ trip to Boston Town and Desborough Town’s home clash with Wisbech Town were postponed.

Two new recruits helped Whitworth claim the bragging rights as they beat local rivals Raunds Town 4-2 in Division One.

The Flourmen took the lead through Matt Judge before former Rushden & Diamonds and Kettering Town midfielder Gary Mills doubled the advantage.

Another recent arrival, Alfie Taylor, made it 3-0 before the break but the Shopmates battled back to make it 3-2 six minutes into the second period through Dave Townsend and Josh Davis.

However, Taylor had the final word as his second goal of the game completed the home side’s success.

Rushden & Higham United twice came from behind to beat Woodford United 3-2 as the bounced back from their 7-1 defeat to Oadby Town in the Knockout Cup in midweek.

Adam Creaney gave Woodford the lead but Jack Dyson made it 1-1 before half-time.

Aaron King restored the visitors’ lead seven minutes into the second half but two goals in the final 10 minutes won it for the Lankies.

Dyson hit the second equaliser and Lewis O’Dell was the hero as he grabbed the winner at the death.

Rock-bottom Burton Park Wanderers are still waiting for their first win of the season after two second-half goals saw them go down 2-0 to Bourne Town at Latimer Park.

Zak Munton broke the deadlock just before the hour and Craig Rook rounded things off with four minutes remaining.
