Wellingborough Town will hope to return to action in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division tonight (Tuesday).

The Doughboys are facing one of the bigger fixture backlogs in the division after their home clash with Holbeach United was postponed at the weekend due to a waterlogged pitch at the Dog & Duck.

But they will be looking to get back into the swing of things on home soil again this evening with struggling Sileby Rangers due to be the visitors.

Ian Walker’s Desborough Town suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat at high-flying Deeping Rangers at the weekend and they will be aiming to bounce back when they welcome sixth-placed Yaxley to the S6 Stadium.

It is also an important night for Division One outfit Rothwell Corinthians as they will finally try to get their Knockout Cup second-round clash with Premier Division side AFC Kempston Rovers played.

Shaun Sparrow’s team head into the cup clash in good form as they recorded a fine 2-1 success at Blackstones on Saturday while their opponents were hammered 8-3 at home by Huntingdon.

In Division One itself, both Burton Park Wanderers and Whitworth hit the road this evening as they look to hit back from home defeats at the weekend.

Burton, who were beaten 3-2 by Harrowby at Latimer Park, head to Potton United while the Flourmen travel to St Neots Town Saints after losing 3-2 at home to Lutterworth Athletic on Saturday.

Raunds Town are scheduled to travel to Buckingham Town tomorrow (Wednesday) night.
