John Dean hit a hat-trick as Desborough Town kept their Wembley dreams alive with a 4-1 victory over Eastwood Community to move into the last 32 of the Buildbase FA Vase.
Like in the previous round, Chris Bradshaw’s men needed extra-time before they booked their place in the next stage as Dean gave them a first-half lead that they held until the 89th minute when the visitors, who had been reduced to 10 men by then, equalised.
But Desborough took control in the extra 30 minutes with Andy Hall restoring their lead before Dean struck twice more in the second period to secure Ar Tarn’s place in Monday’s fourth-round draw.
