The Steelmen return home this weekend to continue their bid for survival in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division when they take on rock-bottom Skelmersdale United.

Corby’s five-match unbeaten run was ended when they were beaten 4-2 at runaway leaders Blyth Spartans last Saturday and have dropped back into the relegation zone.

They go into Saturday’s clash four points adrift of safety with 11 games to play.

Five of those remaining matches are at Steel Park and Mills wants the Steelmen faithful right behind his team.

“The home form is going to be huge for us and the fans play a vital part in that,” Mills said.

“They can create a great atmosphere at Steel Park and while it will be up to the players to give them something to cheer about, they have been right behind us since we got here.

“They are our 12th man and hopefully we can all make Steel Park a fortress and make it a place opposing teams don’t enjoy coming to.

“It’s a huge game this weekend, there’s no getting away from it. And I hope the fans turn out in force for it.”

The game is the first of two in the next week for the Steelmen.

They make the trip to take on one-time league leaders Rushall Olympic next Tuesday night.
