Corby Town’s attempt to make it six wins in a row was thwarted as they lost 3-2 to Biggleswade Town in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.
The sides had met just a few days earlier when the Steelmen triumphed 2-0 - a win that sent them second in the table.
However, the roles were reversed in Bedfordshire when Biggleswade gained revenge.
Spencer Weir-Daley put the visitors in front but that goal was cancelled out before the break by David Hutton.
After the interval Craig Daniel and Josh Beech both found the net before the red cards started to come out.
Beech was shown a straight red for a challenge on Stephan Morley and then Corby’s player-manager Tommy Wright was also sent from the pitch.
Elliot Chamberlain pulled one back late on for the Steelmen but they could not grab a dramatic equaliser.
