Corby Town bounced back from their defeat to Hitchin Town in fine style as joint-manager Tommy Wright led them to a 3-1 victory at Frome Town in the Calor League Premier Division.

Wright, who returned to the line-up after a groin injury, gave the Steelmen the perfect opening half as his brace put them 2-0 up at the break.

Frome pulled one back through Tim Stephenson in the second half but Sam Ives rounded things off Corby with a stoppage-time strike.

Corby are back in action on Tuesday night when they make the short trip to Cogenhoe United in the quarter-finals of the NFA Hillier Senior Cup.
