Corby Town will go in search of a fourth Calor League Premier Division win in a row when they take on Hitchin Town at Steel Park tonight (Wednesday).
But joint-manager Andrew Wilson insists he is still looking for more consistency to his team’s display as they look to continue their climb up the table.
Two late goals from Tom Berwick sealed the 3-1 success at Redditch United at the weekend, a result that left Wilson delighted.
But he believes there is still plenty of room for improvement and he has urged his players not to underestimate their opponents this evening.
“To have won three league matches on the bounce is great for us,” the Steelmen joint-boss said.
“But we still need to get a bit more consistency into our game.
“We are either starting games well and fading away a little bit or starting games slowly and finishing them well.
“It is a matter of trying to get that full 90-minute performance out of the lads. In some matches, you might get away with playing well for 60 minutes. But there are some teams who won’t let us off the hook for the other 30.
“Things are going well for us but we want to get on a really good run if we can, the form at home is good and the lads will be feeling confident.
“We believe we have a good squad and we believe we can progress up the table.
“But you can never underestimate anyone and tonight will be no different. Hitchin are a real threat and we have to make sure we are ready to deal with that.”
Wilson will be joined in the dugout by fellow manager Tommy Wright this evening as he is out with a groin problem, which forced him off at half-time at Redditch.
Paul Malone is set to be held back for at least one more game as he recovers from an ankle injury but Greg Mills is available to make his debut after joining on loan from Skrill North side Barrow.
