Corby Town’s relegation fears were not eased as they slipped to a 3-2 home loss against second-placed Guiseley.

The Steelmen fought back twice having fallen behind but could not do it for a third time when the visitors scored with just 10 minutes remaining.

Only three minutes had gone when Guiseley took the lead for the first time.

But when Corby were back on level terms just before half-time things looked brighter.

However, James Walshaw added to his earlier strike before the break and Guiseley were back in front.

Corby thought they might have done enough to earn a point when substitute Jordan Ivey-Ward made it 2-2 only for Josh Wilson to inflict more misery on the hosts soon after to take the points back to Yorkshire.

Colwyn Bay are now just a point behind Corby in the final relegation spot but the Welshman have two games in hand.
