It was a case of three in and one after a busy 24 hours of transfer activity for AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
Andy Peaks’ team suffered a major blow when it was announced that top scorer Nabil Shariff had left the club to join Vanarama National League North side Alfreton Town.
But Diamonds moved quickly for a replacement with Ryan Robbins joining the club from Gresley FC.
And the busy day in the transfer market continued as Peaks snapped up Corby Town forward Ben Diamonds while goalkeeper Adam North has also signed on a work experience loan deal from Northampton Town.
All three players are set to be included in Diamonds’ squad to take on unbeaten Evo-Stik South League East leaders Moneyfields at Hayden Road this afternoon (Saturday, 3pm).
Experienced Robbins has had spells at the likes of Barwell, Stamford and Boston United in the past.
And Peaks said: “Ryan is a player who I have admired for a long time and his record speaks for itself.
“I am delighted he is joining and I am sure he will be a huge asset to the team.”
The departure of Shariff will still be a big blow, however.
He scored 14 goals in 18 appearances this season while his overall record after joining in April last year saw him score 40 in 73 games for the club.
The Diamonds boss added: “Nabil has been fantastic for the club and we are sorry to lose him but I can understand him wanting to play at a higher level.
“Alfreton made him an offer that we couldn’t match and he couldn’t refuse. I am sure I will keep in touch and wish him all the best for the future.”
