The Corby Town youth academy will be holding open trials for youngsters from under-9s to under-16s.
The trials will be held at Kingswood School on Wednesday, July 23 between 6pm and 7pm and all trialists will then receive free entry into Steel Park for the Steelmen’s pre-season friendly against a Leeds United XI, which kicks off at 7.45pm.
The parents of the trialists will also receive half-price admission for the match at £5.
The youth set up at Steel Park has already seen some players progress into the first team as well as others who have gone on to feature at Burton Albion, Milton Keynes Dons, Leicester City and Peterborough United.
The squads will again be training twice a week at Kingswood School next season with matches every weekend. And, with the majority of games being on Saturdays, it means youngsters will still be able to feature for their Weetabix Youth League sides on Sundays.
The likes of Chesterfield, Leicester City, Grimsby Town and Milton Keynes Dons will provide opposition in the under-9 to under-14 bracket while the under-15s and under-16s will play in the NERF Junior Premier League against the likes of WBA Colts, Coventry City, Burton Albion and local rivals AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
