Corby Town have signed young striker Kabongo Tshimanga on an initial one-month loan deal from Milton Keynes Dons.
The forward signed a one-and-a-half year contract with the Sky Bet Championship side in January after netting an impressive 42 goals in 25 games for the club’s under-18 team.
He made his first-team debut for the club in their FA Cup win over Port Vale last November and also featured throughout pre-season.
Tshimanga goes straight into the Steelmen squad for their Vanarama National League North clash with Gloucester City at Steel Park.
And Corby boss Tommy Wright said: “Kabongo is a player that we are very excited to have at the club.
“(Manager) Karl Robinson and the coaches at MK Dons really rate him and he has featured heavily around the first-team squad during pre-season.
“We will provide him with the opportunity to develop his game here at Steel Park and push towards first-team football when he returns to MK Dons.
“Scoring 42 goals in 25 games last season shows the high potential that he has, now he has the opportunity to replicate that in senior football during his time with us.”
