Corby Town have completed their latest summer signing with the arrival of former Boston United midfielder Ben Milnes.
Milnes started in last night’s (Wednesday) 2-1 friendly defeat to a Leeds United XI at Steel Park and has now been confirmed as the latest addition to boss Tommy Wright’s squad ahead of the new Southern League Premier Division campaign.
The midfielder started his career at Leicester City before joining Boston in 2011 and spent three seasons with the Conference North club.
But he has now followed Spencer Weir-Daley in switching to Corby, much to the delight of Wright.
The Steelmen manager said: “I am extremely pleased to get this deal over the line and announce that Ben Milnes is a Corby Town player.
“Ben is an extremely skilful player and one of the most technically gifted midfielders that you will see at this level.
“I am really pleased that he has bought into what we are trying to achieve here and I believe that he will fit in well with the style of football that we want to produce this season.”
