Corby Town’s long journey to Cornwall was rewarded with a point as they claimed a 0-0 draw at Truro City in the Calor League Premier Division.

The Steelmen were boosted by the return of captain Gareth Jelleyman while Port Vale loanees Louis Greenway-Tambini and Wilson Carvalho both started.

Tom McGowan was also restored to the starting line-up along with youngster Harry May with joint-manager Tommy Wright, the returning Nathan Fox, Kalern Thomas and Chris Carruthers all named on the bench.

There was little in the way of goalmouth action in what was a goalless opening period with the windy conditions playing a part.

Wright and Carruthers were both introduced during the second half as the wind and rain continued to make conditions difficult.

And neither side were able to find a goal as honours ended even.

Steelmen: Walker, Ives, Jelleyman, Malone, Gascoigne, McGowan, Mills, Verma, May, Tambini, Carvalho. Subs: Thomas, Carpenter, Carruthers, Fox, Wright.
