Corby Town’s wait for an away win continues after they went down 3-1 at Stourbridge in the Calor League Premier Division.

It was looking good for the Steelmen when Stuart Hendrie gave them the lead just before half-time.

But the hosts hit back with three second-half goals to leave Corby still chasing a first success away from Steel Park.

The Steelmen made two changes to the team that drew 1-1 at Bideford at the weekend with Nathan Fox and Sam Ives coming in for Tom James and Tom McGowan.

After a fairly even first half, it was Corby who took the lead six minutes before the break as Hendrie headed home Tom Berwick’s cross.

But Jordan Fitzpatrick levelled 11 minutes into the second half and Will Richards headed home from a corner to give Stourbridge the lead.

And a bad night was rounded off for the Steelmen when Brad-Lee Gascoigne deflected a cross into his own net.

Corby will be looking to bounce back when they go for a seventh successive win at Steel Park as they take on Trafford in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
