Peterborough Northern Star have expressed an interest in signing Mark Arber from Corby Town.
The central defender, who made almost 200 appearances for Peterborough United, has been out of favour at Steel Park for the vast majority of the season, despite being on a contract.
He did feature in the NFA Hillier Cup defeat at Cogenhoe United recently but has been unable to break into the first team squad under Andrew Wilson and Tommy Wright.
It is understood Arber’s name was circulated to clubs in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League earlier this week and Star bosses Darren Jarvis and Michael Goode have revealed they would like to bring the Peterborough-based defender to Chestnut Avenue.
Jarvis said: “We’ve made it known to Corby and Mark himself that we are very interested in bringing him to Star.
“Mark has had a terrific career and boasts a wealth of experience.
“He would have so much to offer on and off the pitch, and hopefully he may be tempted by playing in the city.”
