Nabil Shariff’s second-half goal earned Corby Town a good point as they drew 1-1 at high-flying Bideford in the Calor League Premier Division.

Corby included a new signing in their squad with goalkeeper Josh Carpenter being named on the bench after joining from Harborough Town.

Bideford took the lead on 14 minutes through Connor Clifford and they held the lead until half-time.

But the Steelmen earned a point 11 minutes from the end when the in-form Shariff struck.

It meant Bideford maintained their unbeaten league record while the Steelmen continue to search for their first away win of the season.

Steelmen line-up: Walker, Thomas, Malone, Gascoigne, James, Carruthers, L Hendrie, Shariff, McGowan, Berwick, S Hendrie. Subs: Wright, Carpenter, Ives, Fox, Ingram.
