Chris Plummer is ready to make some changes to his Corby Town squad following their shock FA Cup exit.
The Steelmen turned in a poor second-half performance as Ryman League Premier Division strugglers Hendon claimed a 2-1 success at Steel Park in the fourth qualifying round.
The victory earned the north London side a trip to npower League Two side Aldershot Town in the first round proper while Corby now have just the Blue Square Bet North and the FA Carlsberg Trophy to focus on.
Results in the league went against them while they were suffering that defeat and they will head to Harrogate Town on Saturday in the bottom three on goal difference.
And boss Plummer believes now is the time to look more closely at his squad and potentially bringing new faces in with the main areas of concern being in midfield and up front.
“We will monitor the situation when it comes to bringing fresh faces in,” Plummer said.
“I have been in charge for six or seven weeks now and that has given me time to assess it all.
“We now have a clear picture of who is up to the task and who isn’t and we will look to address that.
“Let’s not beat ourselves up, we still have some very good players in the squad.
“We need to strengthen in certain areas. We are very young so we need a couple of experienced players to come in and improve us.
“I am quite happy with what we are doing at the back now, we look a lot more solid.
“I think we are a bit light in midfield and up front so we need to look at those areas.”
