Gareth Jelleyman has returned to Corby Town in a player-coach role.
The defender made 31 appearances for the club during last season before departing following the financial problems towards the end of the campaign.
But he has now returned to Steel Park where he will continue as a player as well as taking up the new position as a coach.
Boss Tommy Wright has now confirmed his backroom team with David Clarke, who was the goalkeeper coach last season, stepping up to be the new assistant-manager as well as continuing his role with the goalkeepers.
Wright, who was appointed as the sole manager last week, said: “He (Jelleyman) is a popular choice with the fans, the players all respect and look up to him and he was the captain last year too, so it was a no brainer really.
“When I spoke to him he was honoured to be asked and jumped at the chance. We are both really looking forward to getting started now.”
