Claudiu Hoban has left Kettering Town to re-sign for Corby Town.
The winger scored two goals after joining the Poppies earlier in the season but has now returned to Steel Park where he proved to be a revelation during a stint there last season.
He ended the campaign at Tamworth before joining Sutton United at the start of the new season.
Hoban won’t be eligible to play for the Steelmen in tonight’s (Tuesday) Red Insure Cup clash at Rugby Town but will be in the squad to take on Chippenham Town in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division at Steel Park on Saturday.
Corby boss Tommy Wright said: “Obviously I am absolutely delighted to have him back, he’s a game changer and will complement the other attackers we have already at the club.
“He was great for us last year. Of course he ended up going to Tamworth, but it didn’t really work out for him there.
“The fact that he still came to play for us when Tamworth allowed him to towards the end of the season shows just how committed he was to the club.
“The truth is that he only left because of the financial situation here at the time. Claudiu realises that this is a great platform for his football and believes in what myself and Clarkey (assistant-manager David Clarke) are doing at the club.
“He is an extremely talented and skillful player who really gets the fans excited. He scores goals and creates chances for others too.
“It is also important to remember that he is still very young and will only improve further. I know that I can get even more from him in the remainder of this season.”
