Brad-Lee Gascoigne has left Corby Town to join Scottish Championship side Morton.
The central defender joined the Steelmen in September and has been a virtual ever-present at the heart of the backline.
But he is now heading north of the border to join Morton, who currently sit at the foot of the Championship.
The Birmingham City academy product will join up with Kenny Shiels’ side who have also completed deals to bring in former Rangers defender Darren Cole and current Ibrox youngster Barry McKay in recent days.
Corby joint-manager Tommy Wright confirmed the club were now seeking a quick replacement for the defender as they prepare to take on second-placed Cambridge City in the Calor League Premier Division tomorrow (Wednesday).
Wright said; “On behalf of myself and Stan (fellow joint-manager Andrew Wilson) we would like to wish him all the best and thank him for his service.
“He’s a great kid and sure he will improve again playing full-time football at Morton.
“We are in talks with a replacement and fans should expect an announcement in the near future.”
