Tommy Wright feels Corby Town are “more or less there” as far as their summer recruitment is concerned.
But the Steelmen boss has hinted there could be further additions before the Southern League Premier Division campaign gets under way in just over two weeks.
Former Boston United midfielder Ben Milnes became the latest summer arrival at Steel Park this week after he played in Wednesday’s 2-1 friendly defeat to a Leeds United XI, which attracted a crowd of over 700.
Corby are now preparing for another big test as they face a Leicester City XI at Steel Park tomorrow (Saturday).
And, following the arrival of Milnes, boss Wright is happy with how his squad is looking.
“Ben is a good player and I am delighted he has joined us,”Wright said.
“I don’t think the game was one he would have really wanted for his first but him coming in has really added more balance to the squad.
“I am really happy with how things are looking now but I am not going to say that’s it as far as signings are concerned.
“There are a couple we want to have a look at tomorrow but we are more or less there.
“The senior players look strong and we had the likes of Harry May and Connor Kennedy on the bench on Wednesday and they should be looking to push on for a first-team place.”
