Corby Town’s Calor League Premier Division clash with AFC Totton tonight (Wednesday) has been postponed.
It is the fourth home game in a row that the Steelmen have seen called off as heavy rain and the drainage problems in part of the Steel Park pitch continue to cause waterlogging.
Corby are due to return to action at the weekend when they travel to Hitchin Town and that is followed by a trip to Hungerford Town next Tuesday night.
They are scheduled to play Frome Town at Steel Park a week on Saturday and should that go ahead, it will end a month-long wait for a home game with the last being on December 28 when they were beaten 2-0 by leaders Hemel Hempstead Town.
The Steelmen’s former home, Rockingham Triangle, was inspected by Southern League officials last week, as they attempt to get a back-up plan in place to play their matches should the issues at Steel Park continue.
But it is understood they have not yet received the green light to host matches in the athletics stadium.
