Shane Byrne was the hero for Corby Town as they returned to winning ways with a 1-0 success over Truro City at Steel Park.
Steelmen boss Tommy Wright was forced into one change with Wilson Carvalho starting a three-match ban and it meant a first start of the season for striker Spencer Weir-Daley.
The crucial moment in a decent contest came just before half-time when Byrne tucked home his second goal of the season after Cleveland Taylor’s shot had been well-saved.
The Steelmen were dealt a blow, however, with Greg Mills being forced off through injury.
But Corby did bounce back from their Bank Holiday Monday defeat to St Neots and moved up to third place in the Southern League Premier Division in the process.
