Edi Appleton has become the latest Corby Town player to commit his future to the club.
The central defender played a key role in the Steelmen’s Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division title success last season, although his campaign was cut short by an Achilles injury.
However, he has now become the eighth member of the the title-winning squad to extend their stay at Steel Park, much to the delight of manager Tommy Wright.
“Edi is a player me and Dave (assistant-manager Clarke) have spoken about several times after games about his bravery and presence on and off the pitch,” the Steelmen boss said.
“He’s a player I can rely on and now that he’s fully fit he’s focused on getting back in pre-season to cement his place in the side.”
