Prospective Kettering Town owner George Rolls this afternoon confirmed he has concluded a deal to sell Weymouth Football Club.
Rolls told the Evening Telegraph he has completed the sale of The Terras to Nigel Biddlecombe - a deal which will free him up to increase his involvement at the Poppies.
Regulations stipulate that one person cannot have controlling interests at two clubs.
This deal therefore allows Rolls to continue with his pursuit of Kettering Town.
However, no shares can be transferred until after matters are resolved with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs on April 2.
Rolls told the Evening Telegraph: “Let’s see what happens over the next few weeks but I’ll be working with the club, the trust board and Ken Samuel to see if we can help keep Kettering in the Conference Premier this season.”
