The Northampton-born frontman joins the Poppies having recently had his contract with Vanarama National League side Aldershot Town being cancelled by mutual consent.Holman was on the bench when the Shots beat Kettering 2-0 in the fourth qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup last month but has now signed up as they add another key addition in their bid for a promotion push in the Evo-Stik League South Premier Division Central.Holman is available to make his debut in tonight’s (Tuesday) Southern League Challenge Cup second-round home clash with King’s Lynn Town at Latimer Park.The 28-year-old started his career at Cogenhoe United and went on to feature for Oxford City and Long Buckby before joining Histon where he scored 28 goals in 44 games.He eventually joined Braintree Town and his record of 25 goals in 77 matches earned him a move to Colchester United.He went on loan to the likes of Wrexham, Aldershot, Dover Athletic and Woking before signing for Cheltenham Town in 2016 where he hit 16 in 18 games before injury hampered his time there.He had further spells with the likes of Boreham Wood and Leyton Orient before signing for Aldershot on a permanent basis earlier this year.
