Kettering Town are set to have a fresh manager for their Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division campaign next season.
The Poppies have confirmed they are advertising the manager’s position with Scott Machin now appearing to follow Thomas Baillie out of the doors of Latimer Park.
The club revealed last week that they would be seeking one manager for the new campaign, despite Machin and Baillie leading Kettering to a comfortable title success in the Southern League Division One Central last season.
Baillie left immediately but it has now been confirmed Machin was formally interviewed over the weekend.
However, the Poppies’ decision to not offer him the job and advertise the role appears to spell the end of his time with the club as well.
In a short statement, Kettering revealed they will be looking to make a quick appointment.
The club statement said: “After offering both last season’s joint-managers the opportunity to apply for the sole manager position next season and, after a formal interview with Scott Machin, it has now been decided to advertise the position immediately.
“This is with a view to making an early appointment.
“We wish again to thank both Scott and Thomas for their achievements last season and look forward to celebrating the season with them at the player of the year event this Saturday.”
