Poppies' clash with Weymouth falls to the weather

Kettering Town's Evo-Stik South League Premier clash with Weymouth tomorrow (Saturday) has been called off.

Areas of the Latimer Park pitch have been left underwater following the heavy rain in the county today.

And, with Weymouth’s players and fans due to leave the south coast early in the morning, the early decision has been made to postpone the fixture between the two high-fliers.

It will now be re-arranged and will have to be fitted into what is already a packed end-of-season schedule for the promotion-chasing Poppies.

They are due to be back in action at second-placed King’s Lynn Town on Easter Monday (3pm).
