Kettering Town’s home game with Paulton Rovers and Corby Town’s clash at Bradford Park Avenue today (Saturday) have been postponed.
The Poppies’ pitch at Latimer Park had been deemed playable yesterday evening but rain overnight and again this morning lef the surface waterlogged as an inspection was carried out at 9.30am.
It means the Poppies have now gone over two months without a home match in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division with their last action at Latimer Park being a 0-0 draw with Cambridge City on December 5.
Kettering are scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday night when Leamington are the visitors.
Up at Bradford, an initial inspection had deemed the pitch to be playable.
However, even though another inspection was planned for 12.30pm, an earlier decision to postpone the fixture was made.
AFC Rushden & Diamonds’ home game with Ware, however, has been given the go ahead following an 11.30am inspection.
