Kettering Town could move into the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division play-off places for the first time this season when they take on Bedworth United at Latimer Park this afternoon (Monday, 3pm).
The Poppies made it seven games without defeat as Wilson Carvalho’s goal sealed a 1-0 home success over Slough Town on Saturday.
That victory moved them to within a point of the top five and they will now aim to make it three wins a row in what is the fifth of seven successive home matches.
Bedworth are facing relegation as they sit 10 points adrift of safety, despite picking up a 3-2 victory at Cirencester Town on Saturday.
And Law is keen to ensure the Poppies don’t slip up as they bid to extend their unbeaten run.
“I am sure there will be a lot of expectation on us but that’s no different to any other time of the season at Kettering,” he said.
“We have had our moments when we have slipped up against teams further down the table and we have to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
“This group of players have been great. They have lost just four games since the middle of November and two of those came directly after an enforced three-week break due to weather.
“They are learning to fight and scrap for everything and they are picking up big results when they need them.
“The good thing is that we have given ourselves an opportunity and we must try to take it.”
The Poppies will be boosted by the return of captain Brett Solkhon following a hamstring injury while there will also be a late check on striker Rene Howe.
Liam Bateman made his return from a hamstring injury on Saturday and Law added: “We will have a check on Rene but Brett will be available and I am sure he will come back into the side.
“There will be some fresh legs in the squad and hopefully that will help us push on.”
