Marcus Law knows Bamber Bridge will “fancy their chances” of seeing off Kettering Town in tomorrow (Tuesday) night’s FA Cup third qualifying round replay.
The two teams drew 1-1 at Latimer Park on Saturday with Liam Canavan scoring the Poppies’ equaliser after former Blackpool frontman Brett Ormerod had given the Evo-Stik Northern League Division One North side a first-half lead.
Kettering will now have to make the long trek up to Lancashire as they bid to earn their place in the fourth qualifying round, the draw for which is taking place this morning.
And Law says he will have some work to do on checking which members of his squad are and aren’t available for the replay.
The Poppies boss said: “They (Bamber Bridge) will fancy it at home now. They have some very good players who have been there and done it.
“They will feel they have more than us with the confidence they have.
“But we know we have allowed them to be in the game and we have to look at a few things ahead of the replay.
“We will have to look at personnel in terms of injuries and availability.
“I am going to have to ring round and see what the position is with everyone and we will take it from there.
“It’s semi-professional football and sometimes you end up fielding a team that you might not want to but they can sometimes come up with the goods.”
