Kettering Town have completed the signing of goalkeeper Paul Walker, just a day after he was released by Corby Town.
The stopper had his contract at Steel Park terminated by mutual consent yesterday (Tuesday) and was immediately linked with a move to Latimer Park.
Poppies boss Marcus Law confirmed his interest in signing Walker following the 3-0 victory over Chesham United last night, which moved Kettering up to ninth in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.
Walker, who won the Southern League title with Corby last season and was named the supporters’ player of the year for the past two campaigns, becomes the sixth new signing at Latimer Park in the space of six days.
And he has followed three other former Steelmen – Chris Carruthers, Wilson Carvalho and Herve Pepe-N’Goma – in swapping Steel Park for Latimer Park.
Walker’s registration has been confirmed and he will now be in line to make his debut for Kettering when they host current leaders Poole Town on Saturday.
