The Steelmen’s reward for their excellent 4-1 victory at Alvechurch at the weekend is a clash in the north-west against a Stockport side who currently sit in mid-table in the Vanarama National League North and who are currently attracting attendances of around 3,000 at Edgeley Park.

Kettering Town, meanwhile, were handed a home tie and they will take on Hednesford Town at Latimer Park.

The Pitmen currently sit in 10th place in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division - the equivalent level to the Poppies.

Both Corby and Kettering earned £9,000 for winning their ties at the weekend and should they be victorious in the next round, they will net £15,000.

The third qualifying round ties are due to be played over the weekend of October 6.
