Ritchie Jeune says Kettering Town have secured their biggest sponsorship deal since he arrived at the club in 2012.

The Poppies have unveiled Logistics People as their new main sponsor.

The deal will not only see the company as the new shirt sponsor for the 2021/22 season onwards but also see the Logistics People brand around the whole of Latimer Park and across club media.

And Jeune was delighted to get the deal done.

The Poppies owner said: “This is the largest sponsorship deal that the club has completed since I took over.

“Given the current economic climate, I am extremely pleased we have completed a deal like this.

“I am particularly proud that a nationally recognised brand, who are headquartered locally, has chosen Kettering Town to represent them.”

Logistics People are based at the Midlands Logistics Park in Corby and was started by local businessman Carl Stairs.

The company’s managing director said: “I started Logistics People a stone’s throw from Latimer Park back in 2014 and have grown it to become one of the leading recruitment providers in our sector.

“I am from the local area and have followed the growth of Kettering Town since their move to Latimer Park.

“The club has similar values to those I have built my business on and when the opportunity to become the clubs main sponsor materialised, I felt it was a very good fit for us as a company with Kettering Town being in the National League structure and a way for us to build a link with our local community at the same time support a local team.”

Poppies chairman David Mahoney also paid tribute to the club’s current main sponsor BM Pallets, who have been associated with the Poppies since 2015.

Mahoney added: “BM Pallets has been an amazing sponsor for the club. Brian Martin, the company’s owner, has at every stage of their sponsorship deal gone above and beyond the role of just simple sponsorship.

“He has supported the growth of the club and we are extremely grateful for his support and input of the last five years."

On the pitch, Paul Cox's team continued their preparations for the new season with a 1-0 victory over National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Latimer Park last night (Wednesday).

Striker Decarrey Sheriff grabbed the only goal of the game in the second half.
