Home draw is all we could ask for, says Ar Tarn boss Bradshaw

Ar Tarn’s fine run in this season’s competition continued at the weekend and a John Dean hat-trick and an Andy Hall goal helped them beat Eastwood Community 4-1 after extra-time at the Waterworks Field to book a place in the last 32.And Desborough were rewarded with another home tie against Midland League Premier Division side Stourport Swifts on January 6.But Bradshaw isn’t allowing himself to dream about the possibility of his team reaching Wembley just yet.The manager had to watch from afar at the weekend as he attended a wedding, leaving assistant Glyn Davies to lead the team into the next stage.Bradshaw said: “I got a punch off my wife when I reacted to our first goal during the best man’s speech and then my head was in my pudding when they equalised!“But the boys did it again in extra-time and all the credit goes to them and Glyn.“A home draw is the first thing I would have asked for so I am very happy with that.“But it gives me a bit of homework to do because I don’t know a great deal about them.“It’s a big game to look forward to but we have a lot of football to be played before that.“We have to be realistic, I am absolutely confident that one of the north-east teams will go on and win the competition.“As the rounds go by and the prize gets closer, the money comes out and people start making transfers, deliberately bringing players in for the Vase.“We have not got that capability but, more importantly, I wouldn’t want to push out the players who have got us this far in the first place.“We will do what we have for every other round and we will look at Stourport and see what we think we can do.“I am not thinking too far ahead. We will just try to win in the next round and earn some more money for the club.”
