Ben Ford has left Kettering Town and has joined Blue Square Bet Premier new boys Nuneaton Town.
The youngster burst onto the scene during the tough financial times at Nene Park in the second half of last season.
His performances were one of the bright points in a doomed season for the Poppies and he even agreed to sign a three-year contract towards the end of the campaign but couldn’t because of the club being under a transfer embargo.
And he has now left Kettering, who are preparing for life in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.
He took to his twitter account to say: “Finally sorted out for next season, really looking forward to my new start! Shame about leaving KTFC but on to bigger and better things!
“I am so happy I have agreed a deal with Nuneaton Town Football Club.”
