Diamonds' home game is called off
AFC Rushden & Diamonds' home clash with Stocksbridge Park Steels today (Saturday) has been called off.
An early inspection was held at the Dog & Duck but, after the heavy rain yesterday, the pitch was still waterlogged.
It is the second Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One South game in a row that Diamonds have had postponed after their trip to Chasetown last Tuesday night also fell foul of the weather.
They will hope to be back in action on Tuesday night when they are due to host title-chasing Witton Albion.
