At the present time, there is no indication of when the new non-League campaigns will start due to the current restrictions following the Covid-19 outbreak.

Diamonds’ most recent Southern League Premier Central campaign was declared null and void after matches were suspended in March and, since then, the club have been working to ensure they survive.

In his latest update to the fans, chairman Ralph Burditt wrote: “During our meeting this week we have been putting the finishing touches to the budget for the new season.

“With all footballing activity currently suspended and no indication of when it may return, this is proving to be a challenging task.

“It is, however, important that we ensure everything is in place for when we are given the go ahead to start again.

“We will be looking to finalise the budget during our full board meeting this coming week.”

Boss Peaks, however, is feeling relaxed about the situation.

He confirmed he has been in contact with all members of last season’s squad since the premature end to the last campaign.

And he is hopeful that changes to his playing personnel will be minimal during the summer after another encouraging season, which them on the fringes of the play-off places when matches came to a halt.

“I have had conversations with all of the lads since the end of the season,” Peaks said.

“At the moment it’s just a case of passing on information as and when we get it really.

“It’s not in my plans to change too much but I have left things open-ended for the time being.

“When we get some more guidelines that will be when we can start to really plan.

“The players are ticking over and doing their own things at the moment.

“We are just waiting for the go-ahead which will allow us to get together and start back.

“But I have been in touch with all of the boys, they are all in a good place and I think everyone is looking forward to getting some more information. When that will be is a different matter."
