Clifton joins Corby as Westwood departs
Corby Town have signed James Clifton following his release from Nuneaton Borough.

The Steelmen have moved quickly to fill the void left by the departure of Callum Westwood earlier this week by snapping up the former Brackley Town, Kettering Town and Boston United full-back.
Clifton’s move to Steel Park sees him linking up once again with joint-manager Gary Mulligan and assistant-boss Elliot Sandy with whom he played alongside at both Brackley and Kettering.
The deal comes after Westwood confirmed he had left Corby due to “personal reasons and relocation”.

The right-sided player had been in impressive form in recent weeks and scored twice in the 3-0 win over Bedford Town on New Year’s Day.
Clifton is now set to make his debut this weekend as the table-topping Steelmen bid to bounce back from their loss at Coleshill Town when they take on fifth-placed Aylesbury United at Steel Park.
Corby head into the game still holding a five-point lead at the top of the BetVictor Southern League Division One Central.
