The Steelmen, who play in the Evo-Stik League South Division One Central, upset their Premier Division Central hosts with an excellent performance.

Steve Kinniburgh’s team got off to a flying start when Elliot Sandy closed down home goalkeeper Paul Evans and the ball broke to Carta who found the net.

Alvechurch did get back on level terms when Kieron Cook’s low shot found the bottom corner.

But, from then on, it was all about the Steelmen.

Carta regained the lead for them before half-time when he fired into the corner from the edge of the area.

And two goals in the space of two minutes at the start of the second half put Corby in full control.

Carta completed his memorable treble, volleying home from a Ben Bradshaw corner. And Bradshaw was the provider for the fourth as his free-kick found Jamie Anton who volleyed into the net.

Dan George was forced into a good save as Alvechurch tried to find a way back.

But Kinniburgh’s team comfortably saw things out to secure their place in Monday’s draw.
