Ar Tarn surrender an early lead while Romans enjoy late win over S&L

Ar Tarn flew out of the traps with John Dean opening the scoring in the first minute before Jason Turner doubled the lead soon after.

The hosts hit back almost immediately in frantic start with Danny Barker making it 2-1 and the same player brought the scores level nine minutes before the break.

There was a dramatic finish at Alfred Street as Irchester United dented Stewarts & Lloyds’ promotion hopes in Division One with 3-1 success.

The Romans held a half-time lead thanks to Ryan Lovell’s 16th goal of the season but David Sheridan pulled the visitors level on the hour.

The game seemed to be heading for a draw but then Ty Clark struck with two minutes to go and then added the third to seal the points for Irchester.

Thrapston Town produced a fine second-half fightback as they beat Bourne Town 2-1 at Chancery Lane.

The sixth-placed visitors took the lead inside the first minute through Tyler Sculthorpe.

But Lloyd Buckby equalised early in the second half and Jack Wisniewski completed the comeback with what proved to be the winner on 83 minutes.
