Desborough Town’s impressive form of late continued as they picked up a fine 3-1 home win over Shepshed Dynamo in the midweek action in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.

ArTarn took control early as Adam Randall and Tom Mills put them 2-0 up inside half-an-hour.

Kieran Bradshaw pulled a goal back before the break but Kevin Byrne rounded off the scoring on the hour to seal Desborough’s success.

It was a bad night for the other local teams in the Premier Division as Stewarts & Lloyds suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Cogenhoe United with Dan Chilton scoring the only goal.

Wellingborough Town lost 3-1 at home to Huntingdon Town, for whom Dave Townsend opened the scoring.

Daryl Lawman levelled for the Doughboys but the visitors pulled away thanks to goals from Ben Sawyer and Stuart Eason.

Irchester suffered another heavy defeat as they lost 4-1 at Newport Pagnell.

They did take a 13th-minute lead through Zondi Chunga but the hosts hit back with goals from Daren Dykes (2), Dom Lawless and Jared Cuniff.
