Wellingborough Town boss Craig Adams wants to see his side give Spalding a “real problem” at the Dog & Duck.

The Doughboys will go into Saturday’s game against the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division leaders in good spirits after Tuesday’s 2-0 win at Harborough Town.

And Adams, who admitted that he is trying to bring in a couple of new faces to bolster his squad, doesn’t want to provide easy passage for the visitors.

He said: “I want us to give them a real problem and more of a game than we did over there where we lost 1-0.

“If we can get anything from the game I’ll be happy and we’ll set up to try to do that.”

But Adams is aware they will have their work cut out against the champions-elect.

He added: “People can go on abou the money they’ve spent but they deserve to be where they are and they are a very good side.”

AFC Rushden & Diamonds will seek to put Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to Deeping behind them when
they make the trip to AFC Kempston while Desborough Town, 3-1 loswers to Newport Pagnell in midweek, host Holbeach.

In Division One, Burton Park Wanderers, who drew 0-0 with Northampton Spencer on Wednesday, are at home to Irchester who lost 2-0 at Potton on Tuesday.

Whitworth welcome bottom-markers Woodford to London Road and Rothwell Corinthians host Rushden & Higham United.

Both Raunds and Thrapston, who claimed a 1-1 draw with Peterborough Sports and a 5-0 victory at Woodford respectively in midweek, are without a fixture.
