Evans will go out last on his Open debut
Ryan Evans will have to wait to make his Open Championship debut after being named in the final group to tee off in the first round on Thursday.
The Wellingborough Golf Club professional’s dream of competing in the famous competition will come true when the 145th Open starts at Royal Troon.
But it will not be until 4.16pm that Evans gets under way.
He is in the last of the 52 groups and will accompany England’s Callum Shinkwin and Zander Lombard of South Africa - both fellow major debutants.
