Oundle schoolgirl Honor de Winton has just returned from South Africa having helped the England Under-21 netball team to a series victory over the host nation.
The England side, who had recently secured the World University Championships, which de Winton didn’t participate in, clinched a 2-1 victory which will stand them in good stead for their trip to Australia later this summer.
England got off to a great start in the series by taking the opening game by a 48-37 margin.
But the hosts hit back strongly the following day to take the second rubber by an emphatic 56-31 scoreline.
In the series decider, the visitors produced a determined performance and deservedly came out on top with a 55-44 victory.
