Day ‘surprised’ at Bath’s brutal demolition of Tigers

And Day is ready for a side he says were ‘ruthless’ in the gargantuan 45-0 victory against Tigers last weekend.

“It (the Leicester) result was very surprising,” he said. “Any time you see Leicester Tigers losing by that much you know something strange has happened.

“It’s quite interesting looking at the stats that Leicester had the majority of territory and possession but Bath are pretty ruthless and scored some good tries.

“They’re an exciting team, with exciting backs and a physical pack.

“They might be missing a few this weekend but we know they will be a really tough test for us up front and we’re looking forward to it.

“They’ve been getting better over the past few years and will test us in the set piece.”
