Willey returns home with back injury
Northamptonshire all-rounder David Willey has been withdrawn from the England Performance Programme in Australia due to a lower back injury.
Willey will return to Northamptonshire for further rehabilitation.
The 23-year-old, who has had injury issues throughout his professional career, is due to play for Auckland in the New Zealand domestic Twenty20 tournament once his EPP commitments have finished but this is now in doubt.
The EPP squad face their first fixture of the tour this Wednesday in Brisbane, against Queensland IIs at the Allan Border field, National Cricket Centre.
