Smith delighted as County announce a profit

It is the latest piece of good news to emerge from last season which was the most successful at the County Ground for many years.

The club have been in the black for three consecutive years and chief executive David Smith admitted that he was pleased with the way the businees has performed.

He said: “We’re all delighted here and it shows that we’ve done well.

“To make money three years in a row in what is a very challenging environment is testament to ther good work that’s being doen although we realise that there is a lot more to do.

“A winning side obviously helps, something that we’ll be striving for again this summer.”
